Held in the Grecian capital, Athens, this event brought together the greatest lineup of Men ever seen at a NABBA World Championships. Greece is the ancestral home of World Bodybuilding and the Olympics and all things physical. A total of 87 fantastic men battled it out in 6 different classes including JUNIORS and MASTERS.

The Men’s Show DVD includes the posing routines of the top 6 competitors in every class, through to the overall posedown and final awards. The Overall Mr World was DAYO AUDI of UK. The 2000 NABBA Australian Championships was a very special showcase for local, national and international talent. International because most of the Australian winners went on to win at the World Championships in New Zealand just 2 weeks later.
There were 8 men's classes, including the 4 Open Classes, Men's Junior, Men's Novice, Men's Masters and for the first time, a Men's Fitness class.

The Class Winners reads like a whose who of Australian bodybuilding and was as follows:

Men's Novice - Dean Riordan (W.A.)
Men's Class 4 - Nick Jones (S.A.)
Men's Class 3 - Grant Mayo (NSW)

Mr. Fitness - Erich Fangmeyer (Vic)

With FIBO 2008 taking place in Germany right now though till Sunday, it seemed a very appropriate time to release this classic strength confrontation on DVD!  Namely the Exciting Annual 'Grudge Match' in Powerlifting between Germany & USA!  Three lifts were used being - Bench Press, Squat and Double Deadlift.
USA was victorious this particular year winning two of the three events. The DVD starts out with 4’ (1 metre) tall German Markus Shick as he bench presses 200kg attempting a new world record. Markus is 20 years old and weighs 63 kg. (140 lbs). This is followed by the fantastic Germany vs USA Grudge Match.

USA’s James Henderson is a modern day Samson, who has benched 705 lbs in a t-shirt with no other lifting aids. He practically steals the show as he celebrates after his victory over German powerhouse Thomas Roettsches on the Bench Press.
Germany’s Frank Schramm wins the squat competition leaving the double deadlift (deadlifting as a pair) as the decider. See USA’s Phil Farmer and Walt Austin storm to victory in their stupendous gut-busting deadlift of 685 kg (1507 lb)!!

Jimmy 'Iron Bull' Pellechia from the USA performs power curls and then hits a few poses after his interview. Finally, strongman Manfred Höberl of 26" arms fame poses his incredible arms.
