5 Reasons You Know that Times Are Bad
Have you been to the mall lately?? Here's my 5 reasons why I know that things are going to get worse before they are going to get better.
1. Everyone has done all the shopping they need to do for Christmas. The reason for going to the mall is gone! And the malls in Florida are empty. Can't blame that on the weather!
2. The parking lots are empty. I can't remember ever seeing parking lots this empty! If nothing else, people go there just to socialize.
3. The stores have pulled off all the sales. I was getting used to seeing at least 70% off. Now those signs are gone. I want those back. I have gotten used to seeing sales like that.
4. There are foreclosures everywhere. My hearts go out to the people who will lose their home sometime this year.
5. And it's not just home owners that will be walking away although I feel more sorry for them. I just heard that major stores are facing the same thing. Macy*s for example will be closing at least 9 stores from last count!
How can I close this list but by saying that I can only hope for a good 2009! I don't know if positive thoughts can help at all, but at the moment, that's all I can think of! |
