Hannah Montana has to be my daughters favorite person in the world besides her dad of course. Her real name is Destiny hope Cyrus, her father billy ray nicked named her Miley because she is always filled with smiles.

Anyone who likes the Disney channel loves Hannah Montana which Destiny Cyrus and billy ray Cyrus are the stars of.

Miley been singing since she was a little kid which I'm sure she gets from her dad. We all remember Billy Ray.

Destiny started her role in Hannah Montana at the age of 13 which was not easy to get. There was over 1000 girls trying for that part.

Daughter of a Country star who crossed over TV, Miley has been taking parts as extras in her Dad's shows since forever, and most recently was cast for an episodes in his drama series "Doc", as well as TGE role of Ruthie in "Big Fish" at age eight.

Playing the guitar and singing has been a huge part of Destiny"s life. According to her she has written over 100 songs and one of them will be featured in Hannah Montana.

She is now recording one new song per episode so that will make over 20 songs by the end of the season, however, no soundtrack has been confirmed yet.

When asked about the soundtrack, Destiny stated that right now her goal is making the best show possible plus there will be a Hannah Montana soundtrack over the summer, "or a Miley Cyrus album" she added. Soundtrack or not, Destiny Cyrus will certainly be releasing an album sooner or later. She is signed with Hollywood Records for a four-album record deal.

Miley Cyrus (named Destiny Hope Cyrus) was born on November 23, 1992 in Nashville Tennessee to Billy Ray Cyrus (actor/country singer) and Leticia Finley. She has five siblings: Christopher, Chance, Noah Lindsey, Brandy and Trace. [Quick fact: her father nicknamed her Miley because he thought that since she was a baby she never stopped smiling.]

She had always admired her father and the way he performed in front of an audience and had always wanted to do so.

She received her first acting role in 2003, playing opposite her father in the TV series Doc. She then appeared in episodes of other shows. Later that year she had her big screen debut in the movie Big Fish, playing a young Ruthie.

Miley managed to acquire the star role in the new Disney Channel original series, Hannah Montana. She stars as Miley Stewart, a teenage girl that leads a double life as a regular girl and rock star, Hannah Montana. On the show she and her best friend, Lilly, must deal with everyday problems and bullies (the popular girls). But at the end of the day they both enjoy her famous lifestyle and try to fend off the paparazzi.She won the lead role in Hannah Montana, and after the show began airing in 2006 and became a hit, she began performing live as Hannah Montana, first at Walt Disney World and then as the opening act for the Cheetah Girls' tour in fall 2006. At that time, the Hannah Montana soundtrack was released. Miley Cyrus also had a record deal with Hollywood Records in the works.

The rest of her dogs, cats, horses, chickens and cows had to stay at their Nashville, Tennessee home when they moved to LA last December 2005 to start the filming. Miley had to say goodbye to her whole-life friends, so her new lifestyle also includes long hours on the phone plus the LA need: shopping. "I'm a big shoe person. Sometimes I'll be punky, the next day I'll be preppy. Every day after work, my mom and I go shopping. My dad is about to kill me. I say, 'We need it, daddy!'"
