Short tip for today (Monday, August 24, 2009): If a particular user cannot add or remove programs, there might be a simple registry edit needed. 1. Go to HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesUninstall 2. Change the DWORD NoAddRemovePrograms to 0 disable it An opposite trick can be useful as well. You can disable the operation for a particular user, if you do not want him/her to access the feature. Note, that the option is specific for each user account separately, and the change will not affect the general computer settings. Happy socializing and moneymaking! |
