voted unanimously in favor of
implementing the resolution.
The resolution requires the
local police to check for
documentation of anyone
suspected of violating any law
including minor traffic
violations if there is
'probable cause' and it cuts
off some social services
including elderly care and
business licenses without
documentation. The debate over
the resolution has divided the
people of the county and has
created a climate of fear,
anger and hatred. Many of
those who had come to take
part in the event waited
outside. Patrick Garland,
teacher at Freedom High School
in Woodbridge, took the podium
about 9 PM.
