Recipe I: Beef shabu-shabu
[soup]
4 x 12 cm Konbu
2 1/2 to 3 cups water
1/4 cup sake

[ingredients]
2 piece / 160 g Chinese
cabbage, 4 cm sliced
1 1/2 / 135 g white onion, 5
mm sliced
200 g beef tights, thinly
sliced

[dips]
Ponzu
could be found at a Japanese
or Chinese supermarket
Sesame dip
1 1/2 tablespoon sesame
1 1/2 tablespoon miso
3/4 tablespoon suger
1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 cup dashi
# adding 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
Doubanjiang is also nice.
