Seminole Hard Rock Hotel &
Casino in Hollywood, where she
was staying with her lawyer
boyfriend Howard K. Stern.It
was confirmed she was dead at
around 8.40pm (UK time).She
was 26 when she married
89-year-old wheelchair-bound
oil tycoon J Howard Marshall
II in 1994.When they met two
years earlier, she was working
as a topless dancer in a club
in Houston, Texas.Marshall's
death 14 months later
triggered a legal battle
between Nicole Smith and
Marshall's son Pierce, who
died unexpectedly earlier this
year, aged 68.Legal experts
say Nicole Smith, who has not
received any money from her
late husband's estate since
his death in 1995, was looking
to be the likely winner of the
bitter battle over his
fortune.In September last
year, Nicole Smith's son
Daniel, 20, was found dead in
the Bahamas hospital where she
had given birth to daughter
Dannielynn Hope just three
days earlier.The former model
was due to give evidence at
the inquest into his
mysterious death from a drugs
