celebrity focused so much
attention on her case that she
actually served more time than
an average person would have
under the same
circumstances.Nicole Richie,
Hilton's co-star in 'The
Simple Life,' will stand trial
next month on DUI charges, and
if found guilty, could face up
to a year in jail from a 2003
conviction. Paris Hilton plans
to appear on CNN's 'Larry King
Live' on Wednesday night, a
day after she's scheduled to
be released from jail.
According to reports Larry
doesn't pay for interviews, or
do ground rules. How p.o.'ed

King's show to make room for
Hilton? Faced with a wave of
public condemnation last week,
ABC and NBC backed off pursuit
of Hilton's first post-jail
talk. 'I am thrilled that
Larry King has asked me to
appear on his program to
discuss my experience in jail,
what I have learned, how I
have grown and anything else
he wants to talk about,'
Hilton said in a statement
released yesterday. 'Larry
King is not only a
world-renown journalist, but a
true American icon. It will be
an honor to do his show.' So
far, it has been reported in
the tabloids that Paris is
going to 'join a religious
movement', 'adopt less
fortunate children', 'visit
soldiers in Iraq', and 'stop
pretending to be so dumb'. She
has also pledged to help set
up a 'transitional home' for
women released from
jail.Hilton's release is
expected to unleash a media
frenzy, and transportation
officials announced Friday
that they will temporarily ban
parking on several streets in
her Hollywood Hills
neighborhood beginning on
Monday. A contingent of media
was already camped outside the
jail in Lynwood that has been
Hilton's home while satellite
television vans were seen in
the streets surrounding her
house in the Hollywood
Hills.Neighbors have
complained of cars jamming
their streets and helicopters
flying low overhead every time
there is a development in the
Hilton case. 'Dear Neighbour,
since the arrival of Paris
Hilton to our neighbourhood,
we've seen our quality of life
deteriorate,' the leaflet
reads.The Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) revealed
that inspectors would be on
site both at Hilton's home and
at the prison to monitor the
antics of television news
helicopters.Over the weekend,
mom Kathy Hilton visited her
daughter and said she is sick
of orange, which is the color
of the jail jumpsuit the
fashionista has had to wear
during her incarceration. No
