Now she has a plane named in
her honor! At a special

Jefferson Airplane herself,
Virgin America unveiled its
first aircraft at San
Francisco International
Airport called... what
else?... 'Jefferson
Airplane!'The airline's first
aircraft was named in tribute
to the legendary Bay Area rock
band. The Jefferson Airplane
is the first of 34 Virgin
America planes that will be
talking flight. The company
hopes to launch U.S. domestic
service next year, pending
government approval. What will
the rest of the fleet be
called? Well, that may be up
to you! Virgin America has
announced a public name game
to help name their planes!
Winners will be selected based
on originality, wit and 'smile
