companies, General Motors has
invited U.S. and international
truck companies to showcase
their products for automotive
critics. During the tests,
which took place on GM's
4,000-acre Michigan Proving
Grounds, trucks drove over a
number of different road
conditions to demonstrate
their ability to brake, tow
and accelerate. GM officials
say that by comparing
different trucks side-by-side,
consumers benefit as they can
view several competing brands
simultaneously.
