I enjoy a fairly broad range
of music, but seems like most
music made in the past 10
years is nothing but pandering
fluff. Really, it doesn't
matter what type of music
something is as long as
there's some content to it.

There is a lot of history in
my family in terms of music.
My dad, for example, did a
workshop with the drummer for
Kiss, played touch football
with Elvis, worked with
numerous orchestras, stood in
playing trap set for bands
recording albums before
settling down to have a family
and teaching music for 20
years.

My brother got a scholarship
for percussion. My sister got
a scholarship to Oklahoma City
University for performing
arts. I also would have gotten
a percussion scholarship if I
wanted to go to Southeastern.

Really, I have nothing against
rap, hip hop, country, or
really any other type of music
as long as actual thought is
put into it. Quit using the
same 3 or 4 power cords, use
musical transitions, at least
change your musical concepts
after a while, and try getting
away from stereotypical
banter.

Honestly, if there's
miss-spelled words on the
jacket cover of an 'artist's'
CD, how can there be anything
of any depth inside? (more)
