Seacrest is signing on to host
this years' Emmy Awards. The
chairman of the Academy of
Television Arts & Sciences
says Seacrest will bring in a
wide variety of fans,
especially attracting a
younger audience for the
ceremony next month. Seacrest,
often referred to as the
hardest working man in show
business now balances hosting
'American Idol,' E! News and
his own radio show. He's also
been named as a possible host
of the pre-game show for the
Superbowl.Kevin Federline is
trying out a role on the small
screen. Britney Spears' ex has
reportedly landed a gig on the
TV series 'One Tree Hill.'
He'll apparently appear in
several episodes as an
arrogant band frontman next
season. This isn't his first
time acting...Federline made a
guest appearance on 'CSI:
Crime Scene Investigation'
last year.Several people are
recovering from minor injuries
following an accident on the
set of Tom Cruise's new film.
Eleven extras fell off of a
German military truck while
filming a scene in Berlin for
the movie 'Valkyrie.' Most
were treated and released
although one remains in the
hospital for treatment. Cruise
stars in the film, which is
about a German war hero and
his failed plot to assassinate
Adolf Hitler. The actor was
apparently not on the set at
the time of the
accident.Former 'Veronica
Mars' actress Kristen Bell is
signing on to appear on the
hit show 'Heroes.' She'll
reportedly appear in several
episodes playing a mysterious
woman. It's unclear if she'll
be a villain or a hero. This
comes after the CW decided not
to renew her show 'Veronica
Mars' for next season.There
may be a budding romance
between John Mayer and Cameron
Diaz. People magazine says the
actress and the singer were
seen getting cozy in New York
City over the weekend. Sources
say the two were happily
flirting on the back patio of
a hotel where they shared
several drinks. They were also
seen sharing dessert at a
restaurant last week. A source
close to Mayer says the two
are dating but both
celebrity's reps had no
