Burmese soldiers have again
fired warning shots today in
an attempt to disperse
thousands of anti-government
protesters in the country's
main city of Yangon. According
to eyewitnesses, shots were
fired into the crowd of around
70,000, causing at least one
person to fall to the ground.
Burma's military junta said it
would launch 'extreme action'
to disperse protesters unless
demonstrations were halted.
