was one of my influences back
then and of course then came

'As you can see, the kick
comes from very low position
of the pedal, not from the top
where you have to have longer
movement for the hit.'

'Actually I had double pedals
before I had my own drumset
and I bought the pedals with
money gained from my
confirmation. I had to have
pedals whenever I went
somewhere to practise; they
were easy to carry along.
After since I've played double
pedals. I have never played
with two bassdrums, it has
always been double pedals.'

'You'll find ideas by trying
to listen to many different
music styles, different
drummers, even it was pop,
jazz, metal, rock, punk,
whatever. You can always find
something that supports your
own thing.'

'I am trying to practise alone
two hours every day. If
there's a record coming or we
are going to the studio,
practise time increases and
maybe I'll play three hours
alone and about the same time
with the band.'

'I wanted to become a metal
drummer and metal is the thing
where I can express myself
most of all. I also listen to
jazz drummers, for example.
When you listen very
carefully, you can get
anything out of it, even for
metal although it's hard to
believe. :)'
