STOP THE VIDEO PLAYER! READ THIS FIRST! (unless you've seen Part I already)
This is Part II of a combined review with a total of FOUR parts. If you haven't seen Part I already, go back and watch it first. That one covers Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, in response to Armake21's review of the game, but this one onward covers Mickey Mousecapade. I have split the entire video up into four parts ONLY to get around youtube's 100MB limit. Because of this, I have disabled comments for the first three parts, but left them open for the last one. So don't be alarmed. It is meant to get you to keep going the whole way through. You can say everything you have to say for all 4 parts on the Part IV comment section. Ratings are still independent though. And lastly, I apologize in advance for the video's poor quality. Youtube really wanted to screw with this one. Note that it is not my doing.
Random Fun Facts:
00:06 - Cartridge shot is live, slight Armake accent 00:59 - Sharp change to separately recorded VO. Did this to save myself because my voice got weaker as I was concentrating more on holding the camera. It's super hard to do both 01:24 - Added an 'S' to 'Duck' in Duck Hunt 01:33 - This fake title screen involved the most serious crop job. All letters were taken from the word MERMAID and rearranged. The 'L' was fabricated from parts of other letters beg@1:53 - This style I call 'Armake+'. I'm doing his style, but with VO recorded LIVE during gameplay, not afterward. It's incredibly hard because I was trying to replicate the exact experience I had the first time I turned the game on in years, so I had to rely on a bunch of chance conveniences all happening on the same take, like using TAS methods to do a game review. You see my main camera with the record light on. My backup cam that I used to record the main cam creates a slight buzzing sound 03:00-14 - If you listen closely, you'll hear A FUCKING MOTOR OUTSIDE MY HOUSE INTERRUPTING MY G.D. TAKE! 03:54 - Kitty was a last second add-in 04:40 - This was more about me not wanting to lose the take than not wanting to lose a life in the game 05:18 - Caught myself in factual error. 'Turn into another enemy' replaced 'Turn into another item' 05:54 - VO recorded in advance of boss battle. 5 takes were used and chopped up more than celery at Bennihannas to make it seem natural 06:19 - Took forever to get the enemy from the chest, the bird from the wall, AND the spiders in a good position. Had to crop the 'F*ING WALL' shot to get around badly placed spiders 07:21 - Clock character from BATB hadn't been invented yet 07:39 - I used another shot from earlier that went inexplicably out of focus beg@08:55 - Buzzing sound picks up. All parts of this level get shamelessly repeated. Used a stage select code for all the takes (score says '0') 10:09 - Game is not being recorded 11:46 - Homage to Armake's bit, except without slow-mo on voice
