Hello, I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update on this Thursday, May 31, 2007.Actress Anne Heche and her ex Coley Laffoon have agreed on the custody of their child for the next couple of months. People magazine reports that until July 22, 5-year-old Homer will trade off days with Mom and Dad. Laffoon will then take him to Vancouver to be with Heche while she works on her show 'Men in Trees.' They've also agreed to play nice and avoid making negative comments around their son. The two have been in a bitter divorce since February.Tests show George Michael had drugs in his system while driving. Police found the singer slumped over the wheel of his car in the middle of a London intersection last fall. Prosecutors said yesterday in court he tested positive for several drugs including antidepressants, cannabis and the illegal drug GHB. The singer is scheduled for sentencing June 8.Maroon 5's new album is a big hit in its first week out. Their new CD called 'It Won't be Soon Before Long' debuted at number one this week on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Linkin Park's release 'Minutes to Midnight' slipped to the second spot from last week's number 1. Ozzy Ozbourne's 'Black Rain' is number three.Brandy and another driver involved in a fatal car accident last year are suing each other for negligence. The singer says the other driver caused the mutli-car crash that killed one person. That driver is in turn blaming Brandy for the crash. The California Highway Patrol is recommending Brandy be charged with vehicular manslaughter for the accident. But the singer maintains that she was not at fault for the death of that victim. Some British documentaries are being criticized for their coverage of the royal family. A British newspaper reports some think Channel 4 has gone too far in an upcoming show about Princess Diana's death. The program reportedly shows a photo of Diana getting medical aid following the car crash that killed her. There's also criticism on the Channel for a documentary about Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. That show apparently exposes some intimate details of her relationship with Prince Charles. That's all for now. Thanks for watching today's entertainment update.
