that she 'hasn't mastered the

Videos'. She joked: 'You have
to admit, it made the speech
more interesting.' Phillips
left her wireless mic on
during a toilet break, calling
her sister-in-law 'a control
freak'. Viewers to the news
network heard her private
conversation over the US
president's speech in New
Orleans on the first
anniversary of Hurricane
Katrina. 'Set-up' The
presenter of the channel's
Live From programme praised
her husband during the
exchange, calling him 'just a
really passionate,
compassionate, great, great
human being'. CNN apologised
to viewers and the White House
for the error. During her
appearance on the CBS
network's Letterman show, her
Top 10 excuses also included
being 'set up' by the rival
Fox News network, and joked
that there must have been a
reporter 'embedded in the
bathroom'. 'Oh, like you've
never gone to the bathroom and
had it broadcast on national
television?!' was Phillips'
fourth excuse. She also said:
'Larry King does it all the
time,' in reference to the
veteran broadcaster who
presents a weekly live
