those utilities having
Time-Of-Use pricing (that
would not be DWP, which gets
its power largely from
out-of-state coal), the solar
system makes its 'money' (only
credit, they don't pay) during
the peak summer, you live on
that the rest of the year.This
is critically important when
you use daytime solar credits
for off-peak charging of an
EV, or when a small system
shaves off the higher
tiered-rates (DWP doesn't yet
have those, either!).DWP is
making progress, under the new
Board and Mayor Villaraigosa;
but there was decades of
mismanagement. The current
Board, as shown by this video,
has a lot of legacy problems
to undo.
