7-1:Here's the first problem. Before 'Last Resort' times out, there are fourteen survivors that I want to get back to the security room in one piece, and only eight survivors can be 'in play' in the mall at any one time. Other survivors will not be 'activated' unless the ones that are already in play are killed or rescued more
7-1:Here's the first problem. Before 'Last Resort' times out, there are fourteen survivors that I want to get back to the security room in one piece, and only eight survivors can be 'in play' in the mall at any one time. Other survivors will not be 'activated' unless the ones that are already in play are killed or rescued. Here's the second problem. The last time I made this run, the timing worked out really well. I went to get Jonathan, Alyssa, and Brett from the Huntin' Shack, brought them with me to the movie theater, and saved the lot before going back for the Wonderland Plaza contingent. This time, Gil is preventing that from happening. Thus I'm going to have to do something a little crazy. Gil and the theater group are the only active survivors right now, so I'm going to have to save them all.I could go get shotguns from the Huntin' Shack, which is empty at the moment, but I don't have the time. I grab the SMG from Paradise Plaza, though it takes me two tries; sometimes that jump evades me. Anyway, I use my Quickstep to make up the difference... then go get Gil.Gil Jimenez is a weird survivor. It doesn't seem like he has a set time where he appears. Instead, he seems to be triggered by the beginning of the 'Floyd the Sommelier' subquest, which means Gil can hold out for a surprisingly long time as long as you stay out of the food court. (An unannounced survivor can hold out for *days* as long as you don't enter the area where they're found. For example, Sophie first appears at 6 PM on Day One alongside the convicts, but you don't activate her appearance unless you enter Leisure Park. If you stay in Paradise Plaza for two and a half days, then enter the Park, there Sophie will be.) However, if Gil's in play, that means he counts against your limit of eight survivors on the loose at any given time, which means he needs to get rescued. Otherwise Leroy or Susan won't appear. To get Gil to follow you, talk to him until he starts muttering about zombies and angels, then try to leave Chris's Fine Foods. Gil will immediately sober up enough to realize he just screwed up and ask you to come back. Talk to him again to recruit him.Gil's also too drunk to walk, which is going to come in very handy in a moment here...
