The BBC received calls from
people in Yorkshire, the
Midlands, Manchester, the
Thames Valley, Norfolk,
Preston, Newcastle and London

The British Geological Survey
said it believed the quake was
of the magnitude of 5.1 and
said the epicentre was close
to Grimsby in north-east
Lincolnshire
